Mog Wars ("we", "us", "our") operates the website mogwars.ai (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name, email address, gender, and profile details you provide at sign-up (including via Google sign-in).
  • User content: photos and videos you capture or upload (including webcam captures used for rating and battles), display name, and avatar.
  • Biometric-derived data: facial-feature scores produced by AI models from the images you submit. We do not store raw face templates for identification.
  • Usage data: battles played, votes, reactions, scores, device type, browser, IP address, approximate location, and timestamps.
  • Payment data: if you purchase Premium or coins, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive transaction metadata but not full card numbers.
  • Cookies and local storage: used to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • Authenticate you and secure your account.
  • Run AI rating, matchmaking, leaderboards, and battle history.
  • Display your public profile, scores, and submissions to other users (including spectators).
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Send service-related communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, database, AI inference, payments, analytics).
  • Other users — your username, avatar, scores, and submitted media are visible as part of public battles and leaderboards.
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and battle data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). Some data may be retained longer where required by law or for fraud prevention.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent.
